Nov. 2-5: The Rocky Horror Show will be performed at the Camille Playhouse, 1 Dean Porter Park, Brownsville. Nov. 3: McAllen Artwalk will take place at Archer Park, 101 N. Broadway in McAllen. There will be arts and crafts vendors along with live outdoor music. The free event is held on the first Friday of every month and open to the public.

Nov. 4:  The Edinburg Scenic Wetlands and World Birding Center Scenic Arts Festival on Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. Live art demonstrations, including pottery making, wool spinning and weaving, glass blowing, quilting, and more. There will be live music, poetry readings, and live performances, including a performance by the Colibri Children’s Choir. This is a free event. Nov. 4: The International Museum of Arts and Science will hold its monthly Senior Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4 inside one of the fine arts gallery. The museum is located at 1900 Nolana Ave., McAllen. The November event is title Art of the Impressionists and attendees will learn how to layer and texturize acrylic paint while creating a unique impressionist landscape painting. Nov. 7: The Magic Valley Men of A-Chord. A four-part harmony, barbershop style group is looking for more singers. Practice is held from 2-4 p.m. every Tuesday at the Methodist church located at 2nd St. (Col. Rowe) and Pecan in McAllen. For more information call Jerry Boman at (586) 461-2171.

Nov. 8-12:  The 24th annual RGV Birding Festival will be held Nov. 8-12 at the Municipal Auditorium, 1204 Fair Park Blvd., Harlingen. $25 registration fee to participate then different fees based on workshop, seminar or field trip. Nov. 8-12: The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley’s department of theatre will perform A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare on the main stage. Directed by Kent Smither. Nov. 11: Honoring the U.S. military’s service to their country, the City of San Benito will host March of Veterans starting at 8:50 a.m. Veterans and family members are invited to march down Sam Houston Street with a police escort to the San Benito Veterans War Memorial site (Railroad Tracks and Rowson Street) for a ceremony paying tribute to our veterans who fought and died for their country. Nov. 14: The Upper Valley Art League (UVAL) hosts Rio Grande Valley Woodcarver member JimThalacker teaching how to make Christmas ornaments. All materials will be provided.
