“Who Put the Bop in the Bop Shoo-Bop?” Tavie Spivey’s Rock & Roll Show is filled with old songs that are seldom heard anymore but when Winter Texans hear her start singing, they go, “Oh, I remember that,” and start singing along.

Listen for old songs like “Lollipop,” “Lipstick on Your Collar,” “The Great Pretender,” “Earth Angel,” and many other rock and roll classics.

20170105 Carpenters Once MoreFor those younger baby boomers who loved the songs of the seventies soft rock duo, The Carpenters, such as “Close to You,” “For All We Know,” or “We’ve Only Just Begun,” Diana Lynn will take guests back in time to when the Carpenters were at the top of the music world. Karen Carpenter was known for her pure, sweet voice when she sang. Though she died in 1983, when Diana sings her songs, it is as if Carpenter was singing them. Carpenter’s song, “Close to You,” is still the number one song chosen for weddings.

Link Union plans three stops in RGV

Many long-time Winter Texans watched this Ozark Valley family band begin their career here in the Rio Grande Valley before they moved on to other markets. Starting out as primarily bluegrass, today Link Union is a genre crossing, acoustic based band that combines excellent vocals, old time instruments and high energy to create a musical entertainment experience.

Popular Southern Anthem announces RGV show schedule

Wendy, Derek, Mikaela and Logan Pauseway, collectively known as Southern Anthem, are returning to the Rio Grande Valley in January to entertain Winter Texans. This family band is known for bringing a fresh sound to long-time country music, bluegrass and gospel favorites.

What started with providing interim entertainment at a local theater has taken them on an unimaginable journey. They have performed in churches, auditoriums, fairs and festivals, in Branson, made national television appearances on RFD TV, and had requests to perform from Nashville.

Senior Ambassadors host TAMU Singing Cadets

Get ready for some great music Thursday, Jan. 12 when the Senior Ambassadors team up with the Texas A&M Singing Cadets for a special concert to be held at 7 p.m. at Center Church (former Trinity Worship Center) located on the southbound feeder road of Expressway 281 and Nolana Loop in Pharr.
