This past week, as a symbolic sign of friendship and the important bilateral relationship between Mexico and the United States, the Consul General of the United States in Matamoros, Yolanda A. Parra and the Consul General of Mexico in Brownsville, Juan Carlos Cué met in mediation of the Gateway International Bridge in Matamoros, Tamaulipas. During the meeting, both consuls highlighted the importance of reopening international bridges for fully vaccinated documented non-essential travelers and how it will strengthen commercial and tourist ties. The consuls celebrated the opening by endorsing that our countries are partners, neighbors and friends. Both consuls invite travelers who plan to visit the United States for tourism purposes or visit friends or family, bring their visa to have a complete COVID-19 vaccination schedule and present proof of their vaccination when requested by the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer.
