Xanadu follows the journey of Kira that descends from the heavens of Mount Olympus to Venice Beach and is sworn to three things: to inspire mortals, never reveal her identity and never, ever fall in love. However, when she inspires struggling artist Sonny to create the first roller disco, Kira falls into forbidden love and her jealous sisters take advantage of the situation. The Xanadu cast will have performances on December 2, 3, 4 and 9, 10, 11 at 7 p.m. Tickets are to be sold at the door each night and there will be no advanced sales. The tickets are $10 for Adults and $5 for Students. The lobby will open at 6:15 p.m. and masks will be required. PSJA North Thespians present Disney Aladdin, Jr. This year, Troupe 1295 is going to take visitors to the magical world of Aladdin. The drama group will be performing Aladdin, Jr. at the Gilbert Zepeda Jr. Performing Arts Center at PSJA North, 500 E. Nolana Loop. This delightful musical is set for December 3-4 and December 11-12 at 7:30 p.m. The show will be performed in the Pioneer Auditorium at 10001 N. Shary Rd., Mission. General admission tickets are $10, senior citizens, 65 and older, are $5. The enchanted Rio Grande Valley Ballet: The Nutcracker comes to town this winter for an out of this world performance.
