December 12 Join the Sharyland Pioneer High School for a trip Into the Woods at 2 p.m. The show will be performed in the Pioneer Auditorium at 10001 N. Shary Rd., Mission. General admission tickets are $10, senior citizens, 65 and older, are $5. ********** The RGV Concert Band will present their annual Christmas Concert at 3 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1105 Fern in McAllen. A free will offering will be taken. December 14 Experience the fun of the UTRGV Modern Band Ensembles and faculty band at 7 p.m. at the UTRGVPerforming Arts Complex in Edinburg. These groups comprise of students learning new instruments and making contemporary popular music of varied styles. December 14-18 Visit dressed in lights and enjoy Illumina Fest from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Quinta Mazatlan. Retirement Group The Magic Valley P.E.O. Retirement Group will meet on Tuesday, December 14, 11:30 a.m. at the Tower Burger in Alamo. It is located at 505 E. Business 83 and Tower Road. Rio Grande Valley Woodcarvers The Rio Grande Valley Woodcarvers have begun their 2021-2022 season. The woodcarvers are meeting again this year at the Nomad Shrine Club, 1044 W. Nolana Blvd., in Pharr. Join the group from 8 a.m. until noon every Thursday through March of 2022. Gather with old friends, and new, to carve, visit and share ideas. Please use the north end of the parking lot for parking. Also, please use the back door to enter the building. Participants will be setting up their own tables for the time being.
