Larry the Cable Guy.” The duo have a knack for turning oldies into “goodies again” and have recorded songs like “Wal-Mart Greeter,” “Ghost Chickens (in the Sky),” and “I Am My Own Grandpa.” Their one-liners pop in and out through the show. They share stories about themselves and others and have a bag full of impersonations. The show is a good, clean mix of comedy and music. “I brought my step-ladder with me tonight,” Bob said. “I didn’t know my real ladder.” Bob was the original comedian at Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede in Branson and has worked with Parton along with country music great Glen Campbell. He’s also known for being an animal trainer, having trained animals for movies and stage. Alta was a member of the original cast of The Promise, in Branson and was born into Gospel singing royalty. Her older brother is longtime Gospel star Gene Reasoner and her younger brother and sister make up the contemporary Gospel group “Of Mud and Mire.” Alta transforms into, among others, Minnie Pearl, shares the stage with Kermit the Frog, is the “Ghost Chicken” and performs as an Indian tribal member, even surprising Bob with her uncanny knack for tribal harmony. Bob also transforms, singing “What a Wonderful World” as Louis Armstrong, before Alta impersonates Ann Margaret and Bob follows suit with Kermit at the end of the song. The show also takes time to give tribute to peace officers, especially those who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. Fun and light with sprinkles of off the cuff interaction with audience members, the Redneck Revival show is just plain enjoyable. It’s clean, they’re original and memorable and they have plenty of fresh air to share. REDNECK From pg. 18
