Call or Come See Us 956-464-2886 Senior Ambassadors are singing once again The Senior Ambassadors Men’s Chorus is comprised of senior men from the Rio Grande Valley and many other locations around the USA and Canada. The members bring a broad range of musical experience and background to the group. The Senior Ambassadors motto is “Loving Life, Making Music.” Mr. Virgel Kroeker is in his 13th season as director of the chorus. The Senior Ambassadors begin rehearsals in November and perform their musical selections in many RV parks and resorts throughout the Rio Grande Valley during the months of January, February, and March. The size of the chorus fluctuates from year to year. This group will be performing at several parks throughout the Valley. They currently have eight shows left. On February 3, Oleander Acres in Mission; February 12, Split Rail RV Resort in Mission; February 17, Valhalla RV Park in Edinburg; February 23, Bit-O-Heaven in Donna; February 28, Sleepy Valley Resort in Mission; March 5, Wagon City North in Mission; and their last show will be on March 13 at Texas Trails Resort in Pharr, at 3 p.m. All showtimes are 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Practice sessions take place every Friday afternoon at Bentsen Grove Resort from 1 to 3 p.m. If you enjoy singing, you are welcome to attend any of the practice sessions to find out how you can join. Green Bees Quilt Show Feb. 1 The Green Bees of Green Gate Grove present their 18th Annual Quilt Show on February 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Green Gate Grove is located at 2135 S Bentsen Palm Dr in Palmview. Take Expressway 83 W. to the Bentsen Palm Dr/La Homa exit, then south on Bentsen Palm Dr about 1 1/2miles to resort on left. The show will include displays of quilts, wall hangings, wearable art, and miscellaneous textile arts. Raffle tickets available for a beautiful quilt. Lunch will be available for sale.
