This smash Off-Broadway hit takes you to the 1958 Springfield High School prom, where we meet Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy, and Suzy: four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts. March 5 The Lipan Apache Tribe of Texas invites you to their 52nd Annual NDE DAA (Spring) Lipan Apache Tribe of Texas Homecoming Pow Wow from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Alton Recreation Center, 349 Dawes Ave. in Alton. A Badger Run and Ceremony will be held prior to the event at 7:30 a.m. Dancing and presentations will be held throughout the day. A Grand Entry will be done at 1 and 7 p.m. At the grand opening ceremonies, dancers will follow the guard into the arena dressed in beautiful regalia. Closing ceremonies will begin at 9:30 p.m. Celebrate and experience American Indian culture, history, drumming, singing and dancing from tiny tots to seniors. Vendors will be selling Native food, art, crafts, jewelry, supplies and wares. There will also be raffles and cake walks.
