Palm Valley Animal Society is partnering with The City of Edinburg, The County of Hidalgo, Petco Love, PetSmart Charities, Banfield Foundation, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Heal House Call Veterinarian for a threeday, no cost, vaccine and microchip event at Edinburg Municipal Park, 714 S Raul Longoria Road. The event will begin on Friday March 25, at 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. and will continue on Saturday and Sunday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. while supplies last. We encourage participants not to delay, as the event will end once all available vaccines have been distributed. Through the hard work and coordination of all the organizations involved, the event will consist of 2,000 vaccines for both dogs and cats, including DHPP (Canine Distemper, Parvo, Parainfluenza, Adenovirus), FVRCP (Feline Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia), Rabies, and microchip implantation. All of the vaccines and microchips will be free of charge. Winter Texan Times Advertising Sales Associate Alma Chavez ran into some Red Hatters at the McAllen Heritage Center last week. The ladies were enjoying a tour of the center and stopped for a moment to take a picture in front of the beautiful mural on the side of the building. A Red Hatter from Donna told Alma they were so happy to grab a newspaper while she was delivering. It meant they didn’t have to wait to grab a copy back at their park.
