Regan James (Swedeen) lives in Minnesota with his wife Char in the summer months and has made his home in the Valley since 2013 in the wintertime. James has previously been awarded the Best Country Band at the Valley Star Awards twice under Regan James and Hired Hand Band, and for Ohio’s David Church’s very popular Hank Williams show in the Valley. James has also appeared with David Church on RFD-TV’s Midwest Country Show, as well as Connie Lee and Friends radio and TV show at Tennessee Roadhouse, Alexandria, MN. In Minneapolis, Regan James plays bass and sings vocals in the popular band Country Doctors, named Best Country Show 2022 in City Pages publication. Members of Country Doctors have been playing together for 16 years. During the winter months, Country Doctors bring in a sub bass player for Regan, but is welcomed back every summer after returning from the Valley. Regan James has performed in shows with such national stars as Ray Regan James performing at Valley Star Awards Armed with two guitars and an old suitcase drum, to say this Americana duo is greater than the sum of their parts would be a vast understatement. Winnie Brave has been hailed as one of Alberta’s best kept secrets. Known for their dynamic and energetic shows, Winnie Brave is a sonic force to be reckoned with. This husband and wife team, Brad and Amy, have carved out a family business from their shared love of the game. Drawing inspiration from their extensive travels throughout Canada and the USA, their songs reflect on small town life and the interesting folks who happen to cross their paths. Winnie Brave has been performing for 10 years. In 2012, the couple decided they wanted a new way of life. In 2013, they recorded their self-titled debut album. Featuring a collection of songs inspired by their recent journey, it would become the foundation for a new direction.
