Schunior St. Edinburg, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Over 300 Winter Texans from across the Rio Grande Valley attend the annual event. With the purchase of a $7 ticket, attendees can expect live music from Draft Music, complimentary lunch, casino games, and prizes. The Edinburg Chamber would like to once again thank all of the Winter Texans who visit Edinburg, during their stay and would like to welcome them, along with friends and family, back next year. It was such a pleasure to talk to both organizations and to Judy who was so concerned about her son. If you aren’t supporting anything yet, and want to get involved, look into these two organizations and see if you can. This week we have our Valley Star Awards. It’s going to be an exciting show. If you haven’t gotten tickets yet, there will still be some available at the door. We are looking forward to a great show, some great entertainment, and the excitement of who gets the awards. If you want to know who gets what, before our next issue, you need to be at the show. I heard something interesting this week when talking with Bill out at Canyon Lake RV Resort. He said he attributes their longevity to being able to spend the winter months in the Valley. Makes for an interesting research project but makes perfect sense. While here you get to remain active instead of being cooped up in your home while it’s snowing and icy out. You get to enjoy the sun instead of snow clouds.
