February 27th will be a one-hour presentation featuring letters written by Sgt. Gonzalez, a Vietnam War hero, at 10 a.m. Melissa Pena will share details on building spotlight exhibits at the museum through her presentation on February 28 at 11 a.m. March 2 will be a presentation about Will Looney Legacy Park. Presentations will stream live on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/mosthhistory/live. March 3 – Greengate Garden Club will be presenting Growing Sugar Cane in the RGV at 9 a.m. It will be presented by Dale Kerstetter, Environmental and Safety Director at RGV Sugar Growers, Inc. March 4 – City of Alamo will be holding its annual Texas Independence Day Parade starting at 11 a.m. from the HEB store parking lot and proceeding south on Alamo Rd. and then east on Business 83 to Central Park for more activities. March 4 – The Player’s Studio will host a Player’s Market and Garage Sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of Christian Fellowship Church on Trenton Road (2201 Trenton Rd., McAllen). There will be food, vendors, activities, and a huge rummage sale. All proceeds promote the mission and performances of The Player’s Studio. March 5 – Bentsen-RGV State Park will host their Hawk ID Workshop at 1 p.m. Reservations are required for the workshop and is free with park admission. March 5 – The Edinburg Dance Theatre presents ATouch of Irish and Other Works at 5 p.m. at the McAllen Performing Arts Center, 801 Convention Center Blvd. For more information, call (956) 681-3800. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays; 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Regular admission is $5 with discounted $3 for children ages 4-12, students with an ID and senior citizens 65+.
