Explore nature writing at Quinta Mazatlan Are you a nature lover or gardening enthusiast? Are you a creative writer or poet? Are you someone who enjoys experiencing awe? In celebration of National Plant A Flower Day, Quinta Mazatlán invites you to explore and share your connection with nature through our offered writing class: Exploring Nature Writing: Wonder in Wildflowers. Join us March 11th, where we will together evaluate our relationship with the natural world, engaging in stories, learning new creative tools to enhance our writing, and exploring techniques to tune in to the world around us before our imaginations are set off to play. Nature Writing is not necessarily new, and has always held its place in literature, though since the early days of Henry David Thoreau, Nature Writing has become a genre specialized through the presentation of the context of nature and the awareness of the interconnectivity of all living beings. Surrounded by flora and fauna native to the Rio Grande Valley, writers and non-writers will have the opportunity to explore, receive, and reflect on the natural world. This experience offers an invitation to connect with oneself, people, and species around us, emphasizing the interconnectivity of our world and the value which comes through the approach of writing and story as not only a form of expression but as a form of Stewardship.
