It will be full of local vendors, is pet friendly, and will feature live music. It will be held at La Placita Park at Business 83 and Conway. There will also be an Asian Street Market at the Mission Chamber of Commerce from midday to 10 p.m. on Saturday, December 2. The event will feature origami, calligraphy, performances, paper lantern painting, and more. On Saturday, December 2, the City of McAllen will host their lighted parade starting at 6 p.m. from the McAllen Veterans Memorial Stadium, 2001 N. Bicentennial Blvd. Tickets can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com. Seating can be found all along Bicentennial. Port Isabel will host their Christmas Tree Lighting and Hometown Holiday Street Parade starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 2. The parade will begin at Laguna Madre Youth Center and end at Port Isabel Event and Cultural Center. The tree lighting will be held at 7 p.m. at Beulah Park with Santa, performances, and vendors. Hidalgo Festival of Lights starts December 3 and runs through January 1. The hours are Monday through Thursday, 6 to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sunday from 6 to 10 p.m. Extended hours of 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. will be held December 15 through January 1. The vent is held at the Payne Arena, 2600 N. 10th St. in Hidalgo, where you can sit in your car and drive through a 2-mile maze of Christmas lights. You can purchase hot chocolate on the route too. On Friday, December 8, the City of Alamo will have their Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Festival. Immerse yourself in the nostalgic charm of their vintage/retro-themed parade and step back in time and experience the magic of the holiday season. Enjoy fun, pictures with Santa, holiday performances, and more. The parade will begin at the intersection of FM 907/Alamo Rd. and will head toward East Business 83 before ending at Downtown Central Park. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. Downtown Central Park is located at 800 E. Main St. Join the festivities in Weslaco on Saturday, December 9 starting at 6 p.m. The event will feature a variety of floats with Favorite Christmas Movies as the theme. A Santa Dash Fun Run will kick off the event at 5 p.m. The event will be held down Texas Blvd. from Pike Street to 6th St. Parking spaces are available down the parade route. You can find out more details at Weslaco.com/parade. Keep McAllen Beautiful will host their Christmas Posada on Saturday, December 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. The event will be held at Archer Park, 101 N.
