The featured musician is Jill Rohrback from Illinois who started her musical journey thanks to the encouragement of her mother and older sister. Jill was taking piano lessons and singing in the church choir by the age of four. She has performed on TV and made CD’s with a group named Music Mates. In addition to singing in church choirs, school choirs, community choirs and barbershop quartets, Jill performs on several instruments, including the piano, organ, keyboard, flute, trumpet, clarinet, handbells, harmonica, penny whistle, Indian flute, and recorder. Jill has performed with the following groups as a child or as an adult: Forkner Five as a family group performing all over the country as a child and teenager, RGV Concert Band, Winter Texan Orchestra, Tiny Hill Big Band, Lisle Community Concert Band, GE Corporate Choir, Jill Rohrback on mandolin. Photo by Tony Ozark in the parks, including some activity directors, the availability of quality gospel entertainment is very limited in the Valley. For the upcoming winter of 202425, Dale and Gayle would like to focus on offering parks gospel shows or single church services with song service and a short message. They plan to offer these shows and services for love offerings instead of a flat rate or dollar amount per person. They feel that with our nation in such turmoil, more and more Winter Texans are looking for reassurance of their faith through songs of praise. “God has called us to use our talents to provide this service in the Rio Grande Valley,” said Dale. Dale and Gayle realize that most parks have booked all of their shows and dances at the last showcases. But this is something they would like to offer the parks in addition to the regular entertainment. “We ask the park activity directors to consider adding a little gospel to their list for next year.” They plan to continue playing at Ace’s BBQ and doing country variety shows with their country, cowboy, and oldies rock and roll music. They just want to offer their gospel shows and church services as an additional service. You can contact them on Facebook, email at daleeisenhauer@sbcglobal.net, or by calling (580) 3625437. DALE & GAYLE From pg. 6 Skokie Community Choir and with Del Puschert and Red Arwood. Jill also is on stage at McAllen Mobile Park Big Band and Tip of Texas Park country jams. Jill and her husband Rich were in charge of the country jam at Texas Trails Park for six years. She also volunteers at churches including McAllen First United Methodist and Barr Ridge United Church of Christ and is the music and choir director at Texas Trails Christian Fellowship.
