Each group performed a clog dance routine that they had been practicing and enjoying. Don Taylor from Bentsen Grove RV Park taught a dance routine that he wrote himself. Pat Smith from Crown Cloggers Victoria Palms RV Park also taught a routine that her group performed. We also did some “cue and do” Irish routine dances. Clog dancing isn’t just about feet—it’s about celebrating culture, rhythm, and the joy of movement. It’s a great form of exercise too. During the winter months we have five RV parks that have clogging and beginner classes available. Bentsen Grove RV Park, Greengate Grove RV Park, San Juan Gardens RV Park, Victoria Palms RV Park and Fun N Sun RV Park, San Benito. Our next RGV Clog Fun Dance will be hosted by Tippy Toe Cloggers from San Juan Gardens RV Park on February 28, 2025. son to like the great Rio Grande Valley and that you choose to come again – and again, and again. We love having you here, sharing your news, and visiting with you. And, if you are on your way back to your summer home, take some time to visit some sites along the way. If you are traveling 281 or 77, the wildflowers are already beginning to put on a show. You can see fields of yellow, purple, orange, bluebonnets in the median, and spots of color everywhere. Soon, the landscape will be covered in Texas wildflowers colors. Also, we have so many sites to see on your long way out of Texas – no matter which way you choose to go. Most people get to San Antonio or Corpus before heading more west – if you aren’t just going north. Both areas have great historic value, but San Antonio is a huge part of Texas history. Even further north you have Fredericksburg, Gruene, Austin, Dallas, Waco, and so on. If you have a chance, go to a Texas Travel Information Center, and get a book about Texas. They’ll also have area specific booklets, and city ones as well, if you plan on staying in a park for a few days along the way. Whatever you do, have fun while you are here – and we would love to see you back next year. Don’t forget Texas is on the path of totality for the solar eclipse that will be taking place on April 8. There are many places you can visit that are along the path. There are several northern states like Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana that will see the total eclipse as well. Just google total eclipse path and find out if you can see this event. RAMBLINGS From pg. 1 CLOGGING From pg. 1 Carolyn Pullen and Angelika Eleni. Courtesy photo
