November 16 – Come hear creative new works written and performed by UTRGV Composition students. Hear the world premieres of pieces from a variety of styles and genres including chamber music, solos, and electronics that represent the next generation of talented composers at the UTRGV Library Theater, TSC in Brownsville, 90 Taylor Ave., 7 p.m.
November 16 – The UTRGV Percussion Ensemble will present a program of chamber music for percussion instruments, spanning a wide range of styles, time periods, and instrumentation. To be held at the UTRGV Performing Arts Complex, in Edinburg, at 7 p.m.
November 17-20 – The Harlingen Community Theatre will present Neil Simon’s comedy, The Odd Couple. Dates for the events are Thursday, November 17 at 7:30 p.m., Friday, November 18 at 7:30p.m., Saturday, November 19 at 1:30 and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, November 20 at 2:30 p.m. Adults tickets are $15, Children $7. November 18-20 – UTRGV Theatre will present Moliere, two short comedies – The Flying Doctor and Two Precious Maidens Ridiculed. This charming pair of short comedies is a delightful mix of love, trickery, mistaken identities and mayhem, Commedia Dell’Arte, farce and fun. November 19 – The Rio Grande Valley Detachment Marine Corps League will hold a 5k for Heroes and Kids one Mile Fun Run.
