20221207 Leslie Blasing IMG 8585I can’t believe it is already December. Time is flying by. Good thing is it keeps us busy here at the Winter Texan Times. Wintertainers™ are arriving and in full force. Now we get to have some fun and visit parks to enjoy them and spend time with y’all.

This past week I was able to go out to Golf View Estates and listen to Leslie Blasing. There is no doubt why she has won Female Entertainer of the Year and a Heritage Award from the Valley Star Awards. She has an amazing voice and can entertain the whole room.

I have heard her a few times throughout the years, but this is the first time I heard her sing “My Heart Will go on.” WOW! She really belted that song. She sat down with a couple of people and walked the tables while singing the song.

The crowd was fun too. There was a lot of participation and singing along. The whole night was full of excitement. I was so happy to have been able to visit.

I look forward to many more of these opportunities throughout the season too. I love getting out there and enjoying the Wintertainers™ with you. That’s the best way to see them.

Your parks offer so much to you by having these entertainers. And if they can’t be seen at your park, you are sure to find them at another park in the Valley.
You can find open to the public dances and entertainment in our Parks Calendar to see if someone you want to see is entertaining elsewhere.

We also have a list of Wintertainers™ on our website. Some of them have web pages or Facebook pages you can visit to view their calendars. If you don’t see someone listed, please let us know, we are trying to make sure we have all your favorites, and more, available for you and your activity director to view.

What are you doing this holiday season? We love sharing the stories of what you, your park, or an organization is doing for others in the community. If you have something you would like to share, let us know. We like getting behind-the-scenes photos and information, along with any presentations that are made.

If we can’t make it to the event, we welcome submissions directly from you. Just be sure to send us details, photos, names, and who to contact if we need more information.

You can send submissions to news@wintertexantimes.com.

We love having you here and look forward to getting out there with you as the season progresses.
