20230118 Farm Dinner FoodBank Delgado webThe Food Bank RGV is proud to announce the return of its annual farm dinner fundraiser, which will be held at the beautiful and historic Valley Fruit Co. building on February 24. The event will raise funds for the Food Bank RGV's community garden and nutrition education programs, helping to create a healthier and more sustainable community for all.

The farm dinner will feature a delicious and locally-sourced five course meal prepared by renowned Chef Larry Delgado, winner of Beat Bobby Flay 2021, and his Delgado Collective team. Chef Larry and Jessica Delgado have been long-time supporters of the Food Bank RGV and the community.

"Our community garden and nutrition education programs are vital to the Food Bank's mission, and the funds raised at this event will help us to continue to grow and expand these programs," said Libby A. Saenz, chief executive director of the Food Bank RGV. "We are beyond grateful for the support we continue to receive from The Delgados and from our community, and we look forward to another successful and enjoyable Farm Dinner."

Farm Dinner will kick-off with cocktail hour at 6 p.m. at the food bank’s on-site community garden and farm, located right behind the Food Bank RGV, at 724 N. Cage Blvd. in Pharr. Dinner will take place inside the food bank and will also feature live music, a silent auction, and a raffle, with all proceeds going towards the food bank's community garden and nutrition education programs.
