Bill grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba and is delighted to live in the RGV. Dr. Daniel Cather will accompany on piano, as he has done for the past 11 years of service as a Worship Leader at Calvary Baptist Church. He is Chair of the Music Department at South Texas College and assistant professor of music since 2008. Several other professional musicians will complete the orchestra at the presentations. The Calvary Choir has been an integral part of worship in the church for over sixty years. Today’s choir continues that tradition with heartfelt love for God and singing to His glory. The choir sings every Sunday, directed by Bill O’Neil and accompanied by Dan Cather at the 9:15 a.m. service. The concerts are free and the public are cordially invited to attend. CALVARY From pg. 3 Texas Onion Fest is sure to provide a fun filled day of live music, dancing horses, kiddie rides, onion eating contests, pet costume contests, a health fair, a car show, 1015 market, and so much more. The festival is just one of many attractions Weslaco has to offer, and an opportunity to celebrate this agricultural achievement in Weslaco. Be sure to keep an eye out for 1015 Golden Wrapped Onions throughout the festival for fun prizes. There will be three performance stages with live entertainment. Find Texas Onion Fest on Facebook for times of performances. The car show will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. You will also have the chance to meet Tex, the official mascot of the Texas Onion Festival – who hides those golden onions. He anxiously awaits each year to celebrate this special festival with you.
