Through February 12 The Mission Historical Museum (MHM) Presents the 16th Annual Mission Quilt Show exhibit. Quilts will be exhibited in the Museum’s Post Office building (200 E Tom Landry). The quilts will be judged by a panel of independent judges, with ribbons awarded for first, second and third places in each category. Best-of-show and Viewers’ Choice ribbons will also be awarded. Viewer’s Choice ballots will only be accepted in-person and through February 9th. An Awards Reception and Turning of the Quilts program will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 11. The Mission Historical Museum is located at 900 Doherty and 200 E. Tom Landry in downtown Mission. Admission is free. January 26-30 The Nikki Rowe Choir and Theatre Department are proud to present the musical, “Little Shop of Horrors.” The musical will run through January 30th. January 27 and 28 The Mission Historical Museum gladly presents the 1979 western film: She Came to the Valley. The film is based on the novel written by local author, Cleo Dawson. January 28-29 Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1105 Fern Ave. W., in McAllen will hold its annual Community Garage Sale from 8 a.m. to noon, on both days. Sales items include kitchen wares and appliances, furniture, bedding, home décor, books, toys and more. No clothing will be offered. All proceeds go back to the community through church programs.
