January 15 – As part of its lecture series, IMAS will host a lecture by Dr. Jongsun Kim, from UT-RGV, from 3-4 p.m. The lecture is included in general admission. His talk will cover his recent findings on the consequences of diverse nitrogen input caused in coastal productivity and organic fluxes in the coastal Gulf of Mexico. He will share his on-going study of the nutrients in the Gulf of Mexico and its importance to the overall health of our oceans.
