La Floresta Announces Couples Tournament Winners On January 28, La Floresta RV Resort near Mercedes had a couples Par 3 golf tournament. There were two categories - gross score and net score. If it was the first time playing in this tournament, the couples had to sign up for gross score as they haven’t had a handicap established. The couple could choose which category they wanted to play in. If you choose net score, you subtract your handicap from your 18-hole total score. Rickey and Paula Hendersen were repeat net score winners. Jim Monier and Darla Strait were also repeat gross score winners. When you are gross score winners, you get to run the tournament the next year. Jim and Darla decided to make the plaque to honor the winners. They also decided to make coasters for pin prize winners.
