Due to the modified form this year, admission must be purchased online before arriving at the event. This 2021 holiday season, the Payne Arena grounds, located at 2600 N. 10th St., is transforming into The Festival of Lights to give visitors some holiday magic at a safe distance. The drive-thru Christmas lights experience will be opened nightly through the entire month of December. Visitors will get to see two miles of over five million amazing lights, several lighted tunnels and over 500 holiday displays from the safety of their cars. The journey will consist of enchanting scenes and can be enjoyed with holiday music via FM-transmitted station. As we all know, hot cocoa and sweet treats are essential, and the Festival of Lights will have them available at drive-up concessions. There are three ways to enjoy the experience. Visitors can skip the lines by purchasing a dash pass. A dash pass upgrade includes a dedicated welcome lane for dash pass guests that skips you in front of the line. A general admission ticket is good for any day in December except for December 24th, December 31st, and January 1st. On the weekdays, experience the Hidalgo Festival of Lights on board the Santa Express Train. Join the narrator on this magical journey where Christmas shines the brightest.
