PSJA hosts annual Posada UTRGV Classic tickets on sale The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Tuesday that tournament tickets for the second annual UTRGV South Padre Island Classic, a four-game women’s basketball tournament Dec. 17-18 at the South Padre Island Convention Centre, can now be purchased at UTRGVTickets.com. UTRGV will face UTSA on Dec. 17 at 6 p.m. and Liberty on Dec. 18 at 1 p.m. Grand Canyon will face Liberty on Dec. 17 at 3 p.m. and UTSA on Dec. 18 at 4 p.m. Tickets are $30 each and include admission to all four games. UTRGV season ticket holders already have tickets to all four games included in their season ticket booklets. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD will be hosting its second Annual PSJA Family Posada at the PSJA Stadium on Thursday, Dec. 16 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The PSJA Family Posada will feature performances by choir, orchestra, band, mariachi, and folkloric student groups in the PSJA ISD Fine Arts Program and a special performance by Vinyl Show Band with local artists. In addition to musical performances, festivities will include delicious food sold by middle school and high school organizations, photos with Santa, and a Holiday Gift Market featuring handcrafted items by students and parents in the PSJACareer & Technical Education Program, PSJA Pathways Toward Independence/LIFE Program, Buell Green, and the PSJA Parental Engagement Program. Attendees are encouraged to donate an unwrapped toy to be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a bike. Toys received will benefit PSJA ISD students.
