The job is simple: share with your friends all the good times you have in the Valley each winter – away from the snow and ice. In a place where you can play golf almost any winter day. In a place where your MH & RV resort is a community of its own with lots of friends to share in a whole array of fun activities. You’ll want to tell your friends about the dances in your park, the jam sessions, craft sales, pancake breakfasts, ice cream socials, and the wonderful Wintertainers™ performing daily in the resorts. If you like country music, there’s a jam for you and a number of quality bands performing for country-western dances. If your preference is rock-n-roll or bluegrass, you’re not disappointed. There are many talented performers who come to the Rio Grande Valley from Branson, Nashville, and other locales during the winter season. Be sure to tell your friends about the very affordable cost of living in the Rio Grande Valley! Not only do you save a ton of money on heating fuel to keep you warm in the winter, but everything costs less than in most other areas of the country. It’s a great place to make your retirement dollars stretch further, enabling you to enjoy a great lifestyle with all your new friends in Deep South Texas. The Winter Texan Times will be publishing our annual “Take Home Edition” of the paper on March 13 for you to take home with you so you can show your friends up north all the fun times we have here in the Rio Grande Valley. If you can help us spread the word, give us a call today and tell us how many papers you would like to take back north with you to share with others. Most people take 25 to 50 extra copies of Winter Texan Ambassadors wanted the Take Home Edition to share with their friends. We hope you will do the same and invite your friends to come down with you next winter and give us a try. If you are able to take 25 papers or more, give us a call at (956) 5807800 before close of business on March 8 and we will put you on our list of Winter Texan Ambassadors and make arrangements for you to get the papers you need on March 13. If you are leaving before March 13, take some extra copies of our earlier editions, including today’s paper, to share with the folks back home. 2023 Winter Texan Fiesta. Photo by Carina Brunson
