“Music in the Park” has been made possible through generous support of the Rea Charitable Trust. Through their sponsorship, the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley and Quinta Mazatlán have partnered to establish this series of five music concerts, offered free of charge to the residents of the Rio Grande Valley in a beautiful outdoor venue. The musicians for this series are a combination of local artists from the RGV and non-local artists, in a variety of musical styles and crossovers including mariachi, country, jazz, electronic, and classical. During each concert, the artists will provide engaging information about each musical selection. Through this series, a combination of music and nature, “Music in the Park” provides a variety of live music concerts to RGV families at no charge, while helping to promote awareness of the environment in South Texas.
