March 6 – McAllen Art Walk will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at 601 N. Main St. There will be vendors, exhibits, and live entertainment. The event is free. The event is held every first Friday of the month through May.

March 6 – The Valley Symphony Orchestra presents The Beatles and Rutter Soul with the VSO Chorale and features the mezzo-soprano soloist, Karmesha Peake, at 8 p.m. at the McAllen Performing Arts Center. For tickets and more information, visit www.valleysymphony.org.

March 7 – Downtown Harlingen will host their Market Days starting at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Jackson Street and Centennial Park. Call (956) 216-4910 for more information.

March 7 – The Ocelot 5K Run will take place at 7:30 a.m., and the 1-mile fun run will start at 8:30 a.m. at the Gladys Porter Zoo. Space is limited, so register today on the Zoo’s website. For more information about the Ocelot Run and ocelot conservation, please visit www.gpz.org. 

March 7 – Firemen’s Park in McAllen will host the Growing Growers Farmers Market at 9 a.m. The park is located at 201 N. 1st St. The event is held every Saturday.

Now-February 27 – Mission Historical Museum will have a quilt exhibit featuring works by talented local quilters offering visitors a unique opportunity to appreciate quilting as both an art form and a cultural expression. February 26 – McAllen Community Concert Association will present Gentlemen’s Quartet (GQ). GQ is a modern, elegant take on some of the most famous music ever written, fusing together multiple genres in a perfect symphony of sophistication, virtuosity, and humor.
