3M Retirees & Friends

Parkinson’s Support Group (Notice change in date)

Join the Parkinson’s Support Group for their first meeting on Sunday, January 25, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at Siesta Retirement Village, 2712 S. NRLCA Winter Texans

Kansas Day Celebration

The Kansas Day Celebration will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. The event will be held at Peter Piper Pizza in Weslaco (3101 E. Expressway 83). Check-in will be at 1 p.m. with the buffet to start soon after. Buffet luncheon includes a variety of pizzas, salad bar, breadsticks, dessert and beverage. There will not be an entry fee, cost will be based on your personal order. Entertainment will be Rusty Rierson. No reservations are required, but a yes/no is requested. January 14 – The Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual Health & Wellness Fair from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Mission Event Center, 200 N. Shary Rd. Rio Grande Valley Woodcarvers

The Rio Grande Valley Woodcarvers will have their weekly Thursday get togethers at the Las Palmas Community Center, 1921 N. 25th St., in McAllen from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. They will meet every Thursday, excluding holidays, until the last Thursday in March 2026. RGV Senior Texan Softball League

The RGV (previously Ed Marten’s) Senior Texan Softball League is open to all local Texans as well as Winter Texan senior men and women aged 55 years and older. The league practices are held at McAllen’s West Side Park, located on S. Ware Road directly across from the McAllen Convention Center. The Division A practice is every Tuesday and Thursday at 9 a.m. Division B practice is every Monday at 9 a.m. Practices run from now through December. RGV Concert Band Rehearsals

After the holidays, the RGV Concert Band will focus on the January through March Concerts held in various 55+ parks. The group usually performs six concerts per year during the season. Rio Grande Valley Woodcarvers

The Rio Grande Valley Woodcarvers will have their weekly Thursday get togethers at the Las Palmas Community Center, 1921 N. 25th St., in McAllen from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. They will meet every Thursday, excluding holidays, until the last Thursday in March 2026. RGV Senior Texan Softball League

The RGV (previously Ed Marten’s) Senior Texan Softball League is open to all local Texans as well as Winter Texan senior men and women aged 55 years and older. The league practices are held at McAllen’s West Side Park, located on S. Ware Road directly across from the McAllen Convention Center. The Division A practice is every Tuesday and Thursday at 9 a.m. Division B practice is every Monday at 9 a.m. Practices run from now through December. RGV Concert Band Rehearsals

After the holidays, the RGV Concert Band will focus on the January through March Concerts held in various 55+ parks. The group usually performs six concerts per year during the season. Listings must come from the park and are to be submitted on the Winter Texan Times Parks Calendar Submission Form. Request this form from the Winter Texan Times office. Multiple activities may be submitted on the park’s letterhead, provided the same information is provided in the format of the Submission Form.
