Through April 28 – The International Museum of Art & Science (IMAS) will be hosting México: Crisis and Uprising, an exhibition that brings together the diverse voices of 34 independent artists from the North of Mexico. The hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays; 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Regular admission is $5 with discounted $3 for children ages 4-12, students with an ID and senior citizens 65+. Through June 9 – Presenting over 20 textiles from the museum’s personal collection, costume donations from local Brownsville residents, Fiesta y Cultural is an introduction to the traditional and culturally significant Charro Days celebration. Showcasing the cultural heritage of the region, the exhibit at Costumes of the Americans Museum in Brownsville, uses historic photographs and textiles to transport visitors back in time and immerse them in the cultural experiences of the past. Fiesta y Cultural is an opportunity to learn about traditions, clothing, and celebration that has been cherished for years and continues to be a source of pride for the Brownsville community. The museum is located at 1004 E. 6th St.
March 7 – City of Alamo will hold a Winter Texan Appreciation luncheon in downtown Central Park at 10 a.m.
March 8-10 – The Tower Theater, 120 S. Kansas Ave., is thrilled to unveil its latest production: the electrifying murder mystery comedy, "The Bold, The Young and The Murdered." Tickets for this extraordinary event are available for purchase at www.weslacotower.org. General admission is $15, and reserved seats are $20. Showtimes are 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Matinee performances are at 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
March 8 – The Tip-O-Tex Trail Riders will stop at Lakewood RV Resort (after 10 a.m.), 4525 Graham Rd., Harlingen, as part of their trail to Mercedes and will be joining the park to a Soup Fundraiser and Bake Sale that is open to the public at 11 a.m. For more information, contact Tabitha at (956) 423-1170.
March 8 – The 16th annual Canada vs USA senior men and women slow-pitch softball games will be held at Westside Park in McAllen, 1000 S. Ware Rd. Local. Winter Texan seniors 55 years and older will be playing for bragging rights as well as having their respective country engraved on the Can-Am trophy provided by the McAllen Parks and Recreation Department. Admission is free. Parking is free. All refreshments are only $1. Gates open at 9 a.m. The games begin at 9:30 a.m. after renditions of both country’s national anthems. Mark your calendars for Friday March 8. Come out and cheer these seniors on. Open seating starts 30 minutes before curtain. The theater is located at 213 W. Park Ave.

March 13 – MOSTH will host their Farm Life in South Texas with activities and demonstrations. On this day visitors will visit the Hub of Prosperity Farm, beginning at 9 a.m., located behind Edinburg First United Methodist Church, 3707 W. March 14 – MOSTH will host their Farm Life in South Texas with activities and demonstrations. On this day visitors will participate in a Victory Garden Workshop for the first 50 to attend from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. They will be given step-by-step directions on planting seeds and maintaining the plant on museum grounds.
