Through February 25 – The PSJA ISD Buell Central Discipline Alternative Education Program students’ artwork, Screen It: Youth Identity through Art, will be featured at IMAS. The museum is located at 1900 W. Nolana Ave. in McAllen.
Through March 31 – IMAS will host the exhibit Ancient Landscapes of South Texas: Hiding in Plain Sight which illuminates the unique landscape and helps curious minds to understand the natural processes that formed south Texas. Along with the exhibit, a viewing of the documentary will be shown at 3 p.m. on February 3. The museum is located at 1900 W. Nolana Ave. in McAllen.
February 3 – The Brownsville Farmers Market will be held at 9 a.m. at Linear Park, E. 6th St. and E. Ringgold St. The event is held every Saturday.
February 3 – Firemen’s Park in McAllen will host the Growing Growers Farmers Market at 9 a.m. The park is located at 201 N. 1st St. The event is held every Saturday.

February 3 – Sign language interpretation “Alligator Talk” is held every first Saturday of the month at 1:30 p.m. at the SPI Birding and Nature Center and Alligator Sanctuary. $10 adults, $8 for senior citizens (65+). The sanctuary is located at 6901 Padre Blvd.

February 6-11 – The Winter Wildlife Expo will be held at the SPI Hilton Garden Inn. The week will be filled with guest speakers, field trips, raptor shows, exhibitors, vendors and more. February 9 – Brownsville History Museum will host their Winter Walking Tour: St. Charles District at 11 a.m. Meet at the Historic Brownsville Museum, 641 E. Madison St. Cost is $10 for BHA members and $15 for non-members. RSVP by calling (956) 548-1313. Visitors will explore one of the most historic neighborhoods in Brownsville. February 10 – The Women of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church will hold their “Super Bowl” Bake Sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be soups, chili, cakes, pies, breads, cookies, and more. Proceeds will benefit the Children’s Bereavement Center in the Rio Grande Valley. The church is located at 1417 W. Austin, in Harlingen.
