December 19-22 – PSJA North Early College High School will present Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: The Musical. Shows are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays through Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sundays. They will be performed at the Gilbert Zepeda Performing Arts Center, 500 E. Nolana Loop, in Pharr.
December 18 – Gelman Stained Glass Museum presents Winter Texan Day with $5 off their regular $20 admission. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. It’s a self-guided visit that includes a digital map compatible with smart phones. The museum is located at 411 Virgen de San Juan Blvd., in San Juan. December 19 – Join the VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System for a series of informative Veteran Townhalls where you’ll learn about the latest regarding VA facilities that serve Veterans. The event will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Harlingen VA Health Care Center, 2601 Veterans Drive.
December 20 – Bentsen-RGV State Park will hold Our Night Sky, which requires reservations, at 7 p.m. Call ahead to confirm program date and time at (956) 584-9156. The park is located at 2800 S. Bentsen Palm Drive, in Mission.
December 20 – McAllen Wind Ensemble presents Noche Magica, at 7:30 p.m. at the McAllen Performing Arts Center. Although the event is free, you must have a ticket to enter. You can obtain a ticket at www.mcallenwindensemble.org.
December 20 – Pharr Community Center present A Tejano Christmas Carol at the DRC Center, 750 W. Dicker Rd., in Pharr, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online for $5 and $8 at www.pharrcommunitytheater.com. If available, tickets will be sold at the door for $8 and $12.
December 20-22 – Pioneer High School Theatre presents the musical Hadestown. Performances will be at 7 p.m. on December 20 and 21, with a matinee performance at 2 p.m. on December 22. Performances will be held at the school’s auditorium, on the North side of the school, 10001 N. Shary Rd. in Mission. Donation amount for seniors is $5. Cash and Zelle accepted. Tickets may be purchased at the door. A light jacket or sweater is recommended.

December 24 – On Christmas Eve you can celebrate the birth of your Savior at Abiding Lutheran Church at 4 p.m. Children will participate in worship and there will be a candlelight singing of Silent Night.
