The Winter Texan Newmar Luncheons will be held at The Golden Corral at 1301 E. Jackson Ave, in McAllen. It will be held March 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is a reservation deadline usually two days before event. Be sure to tell the host you are with the Newmar group when you arrive. Widows’ Comfort Connection

Senior Slow Pitch Softball
The Ed Martens Senior Softball League meets on Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday. The games are in the mornings at 9 a.m. at West Side Park in McAllen on Ware Rd. RGV Woodcarvers
The Rio Grande Valley Woodcarvers have begun their seasonal meetings. The woodcarvers are meeting at the Nomad Shrine Club, 1044 W. Nolana Blvd., in Pharr. The Carvers meet weekly on Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. through March. Everyone is welcome to come and visit and join the club. Senior Ambassadors
The Senior Ambassadors is looking for singers to join their chorus. Senior Ambassadors is composed of men from the Valley and Winter Texan community. They perform choral music from sacred and semi classical, to pop and country. Practice sessions are held each Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Bentsen Grove Resort (1645 S. Bentsen Rd.) in Mission.
