3M Retirees & Friends

Parkinson’s Support Group (Notice change in date)

Join the Parkinson’s Support Group for their first meeting on Sunday, January 25, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at Siesta Retirement Village, 2712 S. NRLCA Winter Texans

The NRLCA Winter Texan insurance meeting will be held Tuesday January 27, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. at the Victoria Palms Restaurant, 602 N. Victoria Rd., in Donna. Lynne Paller, Director of Health Insurance Programs, along with Aetna and CVS will be guests. You will order off of the menu. Kanabec County, MN Reunion 

Anyone that has lived in or near Kanabec County, MN is welcome to join others on January 27 at Gatti’s Pizza (4100 N. 2nd St., in McAllen) at 11 a.m. For more information, call Judy at (320) 282-6845.  

Kansas Day Celebration

The Kansas Day Celebration will be held on Tuesday, January 27. The event will be held at Peter Piper Pizza in Weslaco (3101 E. Expressway 83). Check-in will be at 1 p.m. with the buffet to start soon after. Buffet luncheon includes a variety of pizzas, salad bar, breadsticks, dessert and beverage. There will not be an entry fee, cost will be based on your personal order. Entertainment will be Rusty Rierson. No reservations are required, but a yes/no is requested. The Hardin Co. Annual Winter Texan Reunion will be held at the Golden Corral, 1525 W Tyler, Harlingen, on Monday February 2 at 11 a.m.

Treasure Lake Resort of Branson, Missouri

Weekly Meetings

Men & Women of A Chord Practices

The Men & Women of A Chord, a barbershop chorus group, is looking for new voices. Go harmonize with them during their weekly practices at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at St. Mark Methodist Church, 2nd St. and Pecan, in McAllen. Rio Grande Valley Woodcarvers

The Rio Grande Valley Woodcarvers will have their weekly Thursday get togethers at the Las Palmas Community Center, 1921 N. 25th St., in McAllen from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. They will meet every Thursday, excluding holidays, until the last Thursday in March 2026. RGV Concert Band Rehearsals

After the holidays, the RGV Concert Band will focus on the January through March concerts held in various 55+ parks. The group usually performs six concerts per year during the season. If you’re interested in joining the RGV Concert Band, please come to a concert and /or contact director Gene Goede at (956) 682-9225. Practices are held at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1107 Fern in McAllen.
