Larry and Susan DeBuse, formerly of Green Gate Grove in Palm View, were honored at the Larry DeBuse Invitational Golf Tournament, held at Shary Golf Course on March 2.
Kathy Roberts and her team organized the event to raise funds for the Parkinson’s Foundation, Inc. and continues Larry’s annual golf outing, The Annual Not Ready for the PGA Golf Fun Day Invitational, which he ran for the last 6 seasons.
This year’s event featured a nine-hole, four person scramble with a full slate of 11 teams. The event was capped off by a luncheon, served by the Shary Golf Course staff, and an award ceremony emceed by Jesse Hansen.
Congratulations go to first place winners, the Lynda Colton Team, who shot five under par and who won an 18-hole pass to Shary Golf Course.
The event raised over $3,600 for the fight against Parkinson’s Disease through entrance fees, the sale of refreshments and mulligans, a 50/50 drawing, an auction and through the many generous donations of others.
The DeBuse family has returned to their home in Bella Vista, AR, as Larry continues his fight against Parkinson’s Disease.
