Trade snow for sand this holiday season and head to South Padre Island. Whether you’re a local, visiting from out of town or just passing through, be sure to check out these holiday festivities the whole family will enjoy.

Set to start at 6 p.m. on December 2, kick off the holiday season with the City of South Padre Island's 33rd Annual Christmas Parade and watch with wonder as festive groups and beautifully decorated floats pass by on Padre Boulevard. On December 3, enjoy a cool winter breeze and watch boats of all sizes cruise by decorated in their holiday finest during the Lighted Boat Parade, set for 6 p.m. at Sea Ranch Marina. Designated viewing areas throughout the route offer free public viewing to take in the show as the bay sparkles with the light of these beautifully decorated boats.

Additional festivities to look forward to include the Holiday Sandcastle Village of South Padre Island as well as Skateapalooza, a new synthetic ice rink event.
