The Rio Grande Valley Quilt Guild will be hosting the RGV Quilt Show, “Texas Fiesta,” February 14 and 15 at the South Padre Island Convention Center, 7355 Padre Blvd. There are nearly 300 quilt entries ranging from wall hangings, bed quilts, wearable items, home décor, challenge quilts, and more.
This year’s theme for the challenge quilts is Texas Fiesta and to create a fiber piece or quilt that showcases the diversity of Texas. There was a maximum size and can include anything from mug rugs, jewelry, covered buttons, and more. With so many quilt items registered, there is bound to be something that will catch your eye.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days. Admission is $10 a day or $15 for both days. There will be a silent auction, quilts for sale, door prizes, shopping and more. You can purchase tickets online at www.rgvqg.com/quilt-show.html.
