The Texas Citrus Fiesta is excited to invite the public to join in a series of vibrant, family-friendly events celebrating one of Mission’s most cherished traditions this month.
Kicking off the festivities is the Texas Citrus Fiesta Product Costume Show, where creativity takes center stage. This lively event gives participants the opportunity to showcase original costume designs inspired by Citrus Fiesta tradition and compete for a cash prize.
The event will be held on Monday, January 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the Mission Event Center. For more information, please contact Amy Tijerina, Executive Director of Texas Citrus Fiesta at (956) 585-9724.
Families can also look forward to the Texas Citrus Fiesta Fun Fair, a free, two-day event filled with excitement for all ages. The Fun Fair will take place at the Bentsen Palm Community Park, 1801 S. Inspiration Rd. It will be held Friday, January 30 and Saturday, January 31. There will be rides, games, entertainment and more fun. It’s free admission for the entire community.
Another highlight of the celebration is the beloved Parade of Oranges, a signature Texas Citrus Fiesta tradition that brings colorful floats, community pride, and festive spirit to the streets of Mission. The Grand Marshal has been named State Rep. Bobby Guerra for this great event.
The parade will be held on Saturday, January 31 and starts at 12 p.m. The parade will run down Conway Ave. from 495 to downtown Mission.
