The Mission Historical Museum is proud to present “What We Wore: A Retrospective of Style & Society,” a new exhibit that explores the history of Mission through the clothing of its people. The exhibit will be on display from March 17 through August 14, at the museum, located at 200 E. Tom Landry Street in Mission.
The history of Mission is written in what we wore.
“What We Wore: A Retrospective of Style & Society” invites visitors to explore how the clothing of Mission’s past offers a window into the lives, ideas, and shared history of the those who make this community. From hand-dyed dresses to Tom Landry’s iconic fedora, the exhibit showcases how apparel both influenced and reflected the community throughout the 20th century.
The museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and every second Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to attend and discover how clothing tells the story of our city.
For more information about the exhibition, please contact the Mission Historical Museum at (956) 580-8646.
