The New Year has Begun
Happy New Year to everyone! I hope you had a safe and fun one. I know lots of parks had sold out dances and entertainment for New Year’s Eve. I am sure everyone had a blast, and it is evident by the many photos I have seen on Facebook.
And then there was the New Year’s Day Polar Bear Plunge. I saw a video of the hundreds that joined in at South Padre Island. I also saw a few parks that used their own swimming pool to hold the event.
I also saw photos of people taking their First Day Hike at several of the parks in the Valley.
It was a delight to see everyone involved in something that the Valley has to offer – whether it be our great weather, entertainment, island, or our parks.
The Valley has a lot to offer you, and I hope that you have had a chance to try some things out. If this is your first time, make some friends and find out where their favorite hangouts are and what other activities they like doing. Get to know your park, get to know your community, and get to know all the wonderful things the Rio Grande Valley has to offer you.
If you find a new place you like, let us know. We love to find out what you are doing out there for fun.
Oh…. And if you are participating in the Golden Age Olympics, share some photos with us, let us know how your group and park are rating. We love to share the good news.
I look forward to hearing back from you.
