Tom Wurth was a pleasure to hear and watch at last week’s Valley Star Awards. He has a resonating voice that adds to the country music he sings.
You will hear him talk about “staying constant,” being real and natural. These things resonate in the songs he writes, those he chooses to record and in every aspect of his career. He has a commitment to real and natural music. It is music you can count on with every song and at every show.
Jason Whorlow is in his fifth year entertaining Winter Texan. He has been nominated and won several awards during this time including Best Solo Variety Act of 2017 Valley Star Awards. As well as becoming in high demand for his extremely versatile, unique and interactive show.
Thousands of Winter Texans look forward to the great entertainment that performs at the annual Mission Winter Texan Fiesta each year. The event is held by the Mission Chamber to say “Thank you” to the Winter Texans that make the Valley their home during the winter season. The event features a great lineup of entertainment, an artisan’s market, a free meal, and a golf tournament.
Renk's final event on February 16 will honor his son Matador David Renk, "El Texano," a true icon of Matadorship in the bullfight world. David passed away September 2018. He was the sixth American Matador in history since 1902 to achieve the title, and the only one of the group to ever appear in the world's largest bullring and receive the doctorate of bullfighting.
Absolutely Country, Definitely Gospel (ACDG) knows how to sing. They lend their strong voices to beautiful country ballads and recognizable gospel songs when on the stage. They were enjoyed by all at a recent Showcase event. The piano player has some of the fastest fingers around.
Lindley Creek has been a favorite in the Valley for a number of years now. Currently nominated for the Valley Star Awards Family Vocal Group of the Year, the group did win the 2015 RGV Bluegrass and Folk Band of the Year.
