Special family-friendly events will be held all weekend at the Port Isabel Lighthouse and the Port Isabel Historical Museum. There will be fireworks, movies, art activities and more.

On Thursday, July 2, the Lighthouse will feature a VIP Fireworks Viewing (9:15 p.m.) from the top of the Lighthouse ($50/person): (956) 943-0735. LIMITED Seating. The movie choice will be “National Treasure” at 9:30 p.m. Activities include Postcards from Port Isabel; Writing with Water; and Harnessing the Wind with Pinwheels.

Port Isabel Historical Museum will host a free sidewalk chalk activity from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. July 2 through July 4.

Activities will be held at the lighthouse from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 3 through Monday July 6. Visitors are invited to participate in the Postcards from Port Isabel by selecting a postcard to send to a friend. They’ll provide the stamp and mail the postcard for you letting your friends/family know how you are celebrating America’s 250th in Port Isabel.

On Saturday, July 4, the Lighthouse will again have the VIP Fireworks view from the top of the lighthouse. First come, first served.

Visitors can wish America a Happy 250th on the Signature Wall all weekend.

The Port Isabel Historical Museum is located at 309 E. Railroad Ave.

The Port Isabel Antique and Flea Market, a monthly event, will be held Sunday, July 5.
