Leslie Blasing has been one of those Wintertainers that has adapted quite well to social distancing. She was one of the first to go online with her shows last year when we all had to start quarantining. He Facebook was always busy with her daily shows on her back porch, or out on her street depending on the weather.
Blasing is a pleasure to watch with her energy, connection to the crowd, and love of music. Her songs span seven decades of country, classic rock, 50’s and 60’s…. and some of todays music as well. South Padre Island has been her home for 25 years. She has won multiple awards including the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018.
While she is still doing performances on her Facebook page, she is also entertaining the crowds at a couple of places on the Island this season. She was not able to hold any of her themed shows this year, but hopefully those will come back next year – as those concerts were always a hit. In the past she has done Divas: Mega Female Pop Artists Through the Decades, Country Legends, and concerts at the Commemorative Air Force Museum.
This year she is performing at Tequila Sunset and Louie’s Backyard regularly and on Facebook when she wants to do more. On Mondays and Fridays you can find her at Tequila Sunset from 1 to 3:30 p.m. She is at Louie’s Backyard from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. These shows are open to the public.
Keep up to date with her schedule, that can change without notice, by visiting her websites at www.chuckandleslie.com and www.LesliePresents.com. For bookings, email Leslie at LBlasing@rgv.rr.com or call (956) 761-4347.
