This weekend might be the last chance you have to catch some city Christmas parades. Nearly every city in the Valley has had, or plans on having, a holiday parade. All of them are lighted parades, so they bring out more festive decorations and fun.
The City of Edinburg had theirs originally scheduled for last week, but due to weather conditions, they have rescheduled it for tomorrow. The Annual Night of Lights Parade will now take place on Thursday, December 12, at 6 p.m. It will be held downtown along Closner Blvd.
Weslaco will have their Santa Dash 5k on Saturday, December 14, starting at 3:30 p.m. It will be held downtown. You can find out more information on their events calendar at Weslaco.com.
Weslaco’s parade will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. downtown on Texas Blvd. The route will run from Pike St. to 6th St.
The City of Alamo Will have their Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting on Friday, December 13, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. It will be held at Downtown Central Park, 800 E. Main St.
