The Valley Symphony (VSO) 2025-2026 Masterworks season opens with a milestone celebration and an unforgettable evening of musical brilliance with Music of the Greats.
Join the VSO on Friday, November 7 at 8 p.m. at the McAllen Performing Arts Center as they begin the new season and honor Maestro Peter Dabrowski’s 25th year leading the VSO. The evening will feature timeless works by Mozart, Sibelius, and Hindemith – composers who defined the symphonic tradition.
The VSO is also thrilled to welcome internationally acclaimed pianist Gabriela Martinez as their featured soloist on Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21 in C Major. Her artistry and elegance promise a captivating performance you won’t want to miss.
On December 5 the VSO will present their holiday concert “A Touch of Frost.” Their winter celebration with the VSO chorale is full of festive and heartwarming music to ring in the holiday season. A sonic galaxy awaits with Star Wars + Four Hands on February 6, 2026. The concert will feature iconic movie moments and a dazzling four-hand piano concerto from Bogdanov (North American premiere). It will also feature piano soloists Haysun Kang and Christopher Guzman.
The VSO will present The Beatles & Rutter Soul, featuring the VSO Chorale, on March 6, 2026. They will close the season with a powerful tribute to Maestro Dabrowski’s enduring impact with Legacy of Sound on April 10, 2026.
