Larry and Susan DeBuse, formerly of Greengate Grove in Palmview, were honored at the Larry DeBuse Invitational Golf Tournament, held at Shary Golf Course on March 1. The DeBuse family has returned to their home in Bella Vista, AR, as Larry continues his fight against Parkinson’s Disease.

Kathy Roberts and her team organized the event to raise funds for the Parkinson’s Foundation, Inc. and continues Larry’s annual golf outing. This year’s event featured a nine-hole, four-person scramble with a full slate of 12 teams. The event was capped off by a luncheon served by Las Donas and an award ceremony emceed by Jesse Hansen.

Congratulations go to first place winners, the Carla Wilson Team, who shot three under par. Each player on the Wilson Team won an 18-hole pass to Shary Golf Course.

This year’s event also exceeded our goal and raised over $5,000. Congratulations to the winning team and all other participants. Over the last two years the DeBuse Tournament has raised over $8,600 for the fight against Parkinson’s Disease.
