The Golf View Estates ladies who love to sew continue to make baby blankets for Mission Regional Medical Center. This season, the group of ladies also started making stuffed bears, dogs and other knitted items. The ladies have made and donated baby blankets and stuffed animals for newborn babies at hospital. This year, the group donated 360 blankets and 45 stuffed animals.
They plan to continue their mission for 2026. Thank you to all the ladies at Golf View Estates that made this happen, including Kathy Williams, Chris Anderson, Kay Hendrickson, Gloria Peterson, Carol Rundell, Samme Buck and Darla Linnenkamp!
This is an ongoing effort and any donation of fabric (or gently used sheets), yarn, and stuffing is greatly appreciated. If you would like to donate, please contact Kathy Williams through email at kathywilliams1250@yahoo.com. They use gently used cotton or cotton/polyester bed sheets for the back of the blankets and quilt fabric for the front of the blankets. The finished size of each quilt is 36 in x 36 in.
