At Winterhaven Resort there was a party held to beat all parties On Monday, February 2, 185 people attended this party in festive patriotic clothing and costumes, ate potluck food, danced to Winterhaven’s own Jammers and had more fun than two barrels of monkeys.
Longtime resident Anne Gilmer headed the organization committee with many volunteers and began planning this event a year ago. Kudos to all of them!
There were contests for best costume and for best decorated table. Prizes were plentiful from people donating something from their home state and winners were drawn from tickets that party goers got upon entering. To say it was spectacular fun is an understatement. A truly apolitical event was enjoyed by all attendees no matter their political affiliations. We’re all Americans and proud of the USA.
