20220323 PuppyMarch has been declared as “National Pet Vaccination Month” to help encourage pet parents to keep their pets up to date on vaccinations to improve the health of our pets in our community and ensure they can find their way home should they become lost.

Palm Valley Animal Society is partnering with The City of Edinburg, The County of Hidalgo, Petco Love, PetSmart Charities, Banfield Foundation, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Heal House Call Veterinarian for a three-day, no cost, vaccine and microchip event at Edinburg Municipal Park, 714 S Raul Longoria Road.

The event will begin on Friday March 25, at 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. and will continue on Saturday and Sunday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. while supplies last. We encourage participants not to delay, as the event will end once all available vaccines have been distributed.

Through the hard work and coordination of all the organizations involved, the event will consist of 2,000 vaccines for both dogs and cats, including DHPP (Canine Distemper, Parvo, Parainfluenza, Adenovirus), FVRCP (Feline Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia), Rabies, and microchip implantation. All of the vaccines and microchips will be free of charge.
