We want you to be a Winter Texan Ambassador
It’s that time of year again. It’s the time of year when you are thinking about packing up and going back to your summer home or taking some time to travel, see family, before you settle down for a few months. It’s also the time of year for some of our special editions. On March 18 we will be publishing our Take Home Edition, and we invite our readers to become Winter Texan Ambassadors.
The job is simple: share with your friends all the good times you have in the Valley each winter – away from the snow and ice. In a place where you can play outside almost any winter day.
You’ll want to tell your friends about the dances in your park, the jam sessions, craft sales, pancake breakfasts, ice cream socials, and the wonderful Wintertainers™ performing daily in the resorts. If you like country music, there’s a jam for you and a number of quality bands performing country-western dances. If your preference is rock-n-roll or bluegrass, you’re not disappointed there either.
Be sure to tell your friends about the very affordable cost of living in the Rio Grande Valley! Not only do you save a ton of money on heating fuel to keep you warm in the winter, but everything costs less than in most other areas of the country. It’s a great place to make your retirement dollars stretch further, enabling you to enjoy a great lifestyle with all your new friends in Deep South Texas.
Most people take extra copies of the Take Home Edition to share with their friends and even leave a few here and there at KOA’s along their route north. We hope you will do the same and invite your friends to come down with you next winter and give us a try.
We invite you to pick up five or 10 extra copies of the March 18 Take Home Edition to share with your friends and neighbors. The issue will be filled with everything that is great about the Valley.
If you would like to take home 25 copies or more, please call our office at (956) 580-7800 before 5 p.m., March 12, to reserve a bundle to pick up at our office on or after March 18.
If you are leaving the Valley before then, we still invite you to take a couple of copies back home with you. We love having you visit the Valley during the winter, and we know you love being here.
